Together with entrepreneurs and start-ups, Mercedes-Benz has a passion for progress, innovation and creativity. It was time to remind Australia of this fact, and to reposition the underrated Vito van as the ultimate small business sidekick.
We invited start-ups, product developers, industrial designers, hustlers and hackers to submit their best ideas on how they would hack the back of a Vito. We then shortlisted 6 teams to participate in a 1 day Hackathon in a warehouse in Melbourne. We even secured a few Aussie celebs to form the judging panel.
The winning team, Code Camp, won a brand new Mercedes-Benz Vito.
I was the sole Producer managing the event, content and participant outreach. I also built the website. I worked with the Account Director and Strategy Director to generate buzz and ensure the event was a huge success.
